We're Test Optional 

º£½ÇÖ±²¥ was the first test-optional college in the country—starting more than fifty years ago, in 1969. Fifty percent of the Class of 2029 chose not to submit test scores. Learn more about our test-optional policy.

The members of the Class of 2029 are:

  • 50% women, 48% men, 2% another identity (including non-binary)
  • 67% from outside of New England
  • 35% students of color
  • 10% international background*
  • 10% Maine residents
  • 18% first generation to attend college (neither parent ha a four-year college degree)
  • 12 states with ten or more students (CA, CO, CT, FL, ME, MA, MD, NJ, NY, PA, TX, WA)

*Home or school address or primary citizenship is non-US.
