The exhibit showcases a recently rediscovered collection of vibrant printed fabrics created in the 1950s and 1960s by Inuit graphic artists in Kinngait (then known as Cape Dorset), Nunavut, located off the southwest coast of Baffin Island in the Canadian Arctic. The exhibit introduces audiences to an Inuit artistic endeavor that is largely unknown, highlighting the creative and entrepreneurial activities of the Kinngait graphic artists.
