Katharine Scott
Assistant Professor of Psychology
As a diversity scientist, I am broadly interested in how people form social biases and how psychological interventions can be used to reduce prejudice across the lifespan. In my research, I synthesize social and developmental psychology frameworks and methodologies to assess and evaluate methods for reducing children’s intergroup biases. I teach classes in diversity science with the goal of helping students understand how scientific methods can be used to understand and improve our complex, and often imperfect, social world.
