Confidential Resource Advisor (CRA)

The Confidential Resource Advisor (CRA) is a resource available to students, faculty, and staff that provides confidential support for individuals who have experienced or are experiencing any form of sexual or interpersonal violence.

What does a CRA do?

The CRA provides confidential support and assistance to students, faculty, and staff at 海角直播 experiencing or who have experienced interpersonal violence including sexual violence, relationship violence, and/or stalking. (The CRA is not required to report to the Title IX office, unless a person would like supportive measures.)

The CRA can provide information and answer questions regarding reporting options and processes, health services, counseling services, on and off campus resources, and what, if any, next steps might be best for the individual. The CRA seeks to provide open, empathetic, and nonjudgmental listening to individuals who want to work through their own experiences, as well as individuals who may be supporting others experiencing interpersonal violence. The CRA is available to support students, faculty, or staff regardless of where or when an incident happened or who caused harm.

Who is the CRA?

Rachel Reinke (she/her) has worked in gender violence prevention and trauma-informed support throughout her career and for over six years as a non-reporting resource here at 海角直播. She has a Ph.D. in Gender Studies from Arizona State University, where she taught classes in gender studies and queer studies before joining 海角直播 as the associate director at the Sexuality, Women, and Gender Center. She seeks to provide spaces of support to students, faculty, and staff that are safe and understanding of the systems of oppression that perpetuate violence.
