Rockland Community
On this trip, students will explore the hard working community of Rockland, Maine. Home to over two hundred non-profits as well as a flourishing fishing community and working waterfront, spending time in Rockland speaks to many aspects of what life is like in coastal Maine. Students will engage with partners such as the Island Institute and Hurricane Island Center for Science & Leadership. Note: this trip will travel to and from islands on multiple ferry's and boats. Accommodation will be out on Hurricane Island in cabins. Note: due to water conservation efforts on the island, students on this trip are asked to shower once or twice on this three night trip.
